On Thursday, February 11th, NASH FM 103.3 will be hosting its first ever Guitar Pull at 3rd & Lindsley! Come on down and jam with us and six of country music’s hottest singer/songwriters as each artist takes turns performing favorites in an intimate and acoustic setting.
Here’s a little info about the artists included this year!
Kip Moore
With multiple songs ranking high up on Billboards Hot Country songs, and a few double platinum tracks under his belt, Kip has found himself riding the waves of the new “Bro-Country” genre. Catchy songs like his 2010 single “Somethin’ Bout a Truck” and “I’m To Blame” off of his new 2015 full-length album Wild Ones are what can draw you into this Georgia Native’s energetic and captivating live shows.
David Nail
David signed with MCA Nashville in 2007 and released “Turning Home” and “Red Light”, a long awaited pair of Top 20 charting Billboard Country charting hits in 2009. Following those successful tracks, Nail entered the studio again in 2011 and came out with the back to back Billboard Country charting songs like “Let It Rain” in 2011, and “Whatever She’s Got” in 2013. Nail also released a pretty competitive cover of “Someone Like You” originally by Adele in early 2012.
Clare Dunn
Clare made her way to Nashville to attend Belmont University to pursue a degree and her dreams of making it in the music industry. While at Belmont, she picked up a guitar for the first time, and found herself determined to master both electric and acoustic. After graduating with honors, Dunn found herself with a worldwide BMG Publishing deal and tour gigs with Keith Urban, and fellow Belmont grads, Florida Georgia Line. In 2015, Dunn released her first Billboard Top Country charting song “Move On” off of her Self Titled EP. The EP itself found its way to #31 on the Billboard Top Country Album lists as well. Who knew a girl from a small farm in Colorado could be so powerful?
Chuck Wicks
Entering the music scene in 2007 with his top 5 hit “Stealing Cinderella”, Chuck has been thrown into the spotlight a one of Country’s hottest rising newcomers. Wicks decided to take a break from the music industry after his single to get back to his roots, and to practice his writing. After a few Outdoor Channel hunting shows, he’s came back to music in 2013 with his iTunes Country Top 10 EP “Rough”, which included his perfect summer song “Salt Life”. Chuck is currently co-hosting “America’s Morning Show” on New York City’s NASH FM 94.7 alongside Lee Ann Womack, and a few other hosts. His show features hot country hits, artist updates and interviews, and country lifestyle news and airs live in front of a studio audience every weekday from 6am to 10am.
Kane Brown
Its hard to believe that Tennessee native, Kane almost ended up being an R&B singer instead of blessing us all with his rich baritone voice (that was clearly build for country). Luckily, he entered a high school talent competition with his own rendition of “Chris young’s “Getting’ You Home”, and won. Following his win, Brown starting posting videos of his covers on Youtube and his large following helped him to release a cover of George Strait’s “Check Yes or No” that racked up over 7 million views. After realizing his YouTube success, Kane released a clip of his own highly anticipated single “Used to Love you Sober” which gained 1 million views in less than an hour. In early 2015, Brown released his current EP, “Closer”, which reached the Top Ten of the Billboard Country Albums and then signed with RCA Nashville in early to 2016.
Brooke Eden
Brook is taking the country airwaves by storm with her newest single “Daddy’s Money”. The song preaches about her personal agenda of working hard at everything you do, and to never rely on anyone except yourself for your success. Brook is labeled as a confident and commanding vocalist, and is being compared to her country inspiration, and label mate at BBR Music Group – Jason Aldean. Brook is a good symbol for self empowerment in all women. She won’t flaunt how tough she is with lyrics about guns and doing manly things. Instead, she gracefully demands respect from her male counterparts.
