woke up to some incredible news this morning! nominated for album of the year, vocal duo of the year, single of the year, and song of the year at the @cma awards! thanks to everyone who voted for us, we’re so grateful to be recognized by the country music community! also, if you’ve made it this far in the caption, you’re probably a true fan, so we can be honest. we didn’t “wake up” to the news of nominations. award show announcements give us (at least me, @dansmyers) a lot of anxiety, so it’s difficult to actually sleep the night before. so many people work so hard to make the music happen, and to have it all critiqued on one specific night, in one specific moment, is an overwhelming amount of pressure. it’s been a really great year, and we’re trying to stress less about these things, and just appreciate the fact that we’re doing what we love for people who are willing to listen. thanks for continuing to support us on this journey, through the highs and lows. we’re truly living a dream because of you. ❤️
